How To Use Google Pay On Your Smart Watch

How To Use Google Pay On Your Smart Watch

Google pay is one of the fastest-growing methods of making online transactions. This is thanks to the millions of people around the world who have started using their smartphones for their daily purchases.

However, it's not just limited to your phone; you can use Google pay on your smartwatch as well. In this blog post, we'll go over just how simple it is to use Google Pay on your smartwatch.

Download Google Pay:

Google Pay is a mobile payment service from Google that lets you make purchases in stores, online, and in apps with just a tap.

Google Pay is available for all Android phones running Android KitKat 4.4+ and above as well as iPhones with NFC and the Apple Watch (version 2 or later).

To use Google Pay on your smartwatch, follow these steps:

Download Google Pay from the App Store (Apple Watch) or Google Play Store (Android Watch). Open up the app on your watch and sign in using the same credentials you used to set up your phone.

Setting up a card:

1. Select your watch from the list of available devices. This can be done by going to the Devices section in Google Pay and selecting the Add new device button.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your watch.

3. Once you’ve set up your watch, you’ll be asked to enter the last four digits of your card number. This is so that Google can verify that you have access to that card, and will not be used for any other purchases (Google Pay will not store this information). Your card number is then stored on your watch, and it will work with any payment terminals that accept payments through Google Pay as well as NFC payments in shops where contactless payments are accepted (contactless payment terminals are marked by a contactless symbol).

Set up your watch:

Google Pay is a simple and secure way to send and receive money from friends and family. You can use it on your phone, tablet, laptop, and soon, your smartwatch.

Set up:

To get started, make sure you have a Wear OS device (like the Fossil Sport Smartwatch) with NFC. Then follow these steps:

Open the Google Pay app on your watch. In the top right corner of the app home screen, tap Add.

On the next screen, select Wear OS as your watch type. If you don't see this option, make sure that the Google Pay app is up to date on your phone.

So there you have it - Google Pay is now available on your smartwatch and should make life easier. If you wanted to send money to someone that had an Android Wear device and there was no cash point nearby you can now just send them a request to pay. Nice and easy, just like Google.
